Wheat dara prices continued to slide, lost Rs 5 per quintal in the wholesale grains market today on adequate stocks position, driven by increased arrivals against reduced offtake by flour mills. Bajra too weakened on subdued demand from poultry units and other consumers.

Traders said increased arrivals against reduced offtake from flour mills led to a fall in wholesale wheat dara prices. "Weakening trend in wheat at futures market also influenced the trading sentiment here in domestic markets," they said.

Wheat dara (for mills) remained weak and prices slipped by Rs 5 to Rs 1,250-1,255 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery also shed by Rs 5 at Rs 1,255-1,260 per 90 kg.

Bajra eased to Rs 935-945 against last level of Rs 950- 960 per quintal on sluggish demand from consuming industries.
