Wheat dara rises on flour mills buying

Wheat and its product prices rose up to Rs 20 per quintal in the wholesale grains market today on fresh buying by flour mills.

Elsewhere, grain prices including rice held steady in restricted buying activity. Traders said fresh buying from flour mills led to a rise in wheat dara and atta prices.

In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) rose by Rs 10 to Rs 1,190-1,195 per quintal, while atta chakki delivery traded higher by the same margin to Rs 1,195-1,200 per 90 kg.

Maida and sooji also moved up by Rs 20 each to Rs 670-700 and Rs 750-775 per 50 kg, respectively, in line with wheat trend.
