Wheat dara rises on increased offtake

In restricted activity, wheat dara prices rose marginally by Rs 5 per quintal on the wholesale grains market today on increased offtake by flour mills for the ongoing marriage season.    

Elsewhere, wheat deshi and other commodities moved in a narrow range in the absence of worthwhile trading activity.

Traders said increased offtake by flour mills to meet the ongoing marriage season demand, led to rise in wheat dara prices. In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) inched up by Rs 5 to Rs 1,295-1,300 per quintal.

Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded higher by the same margin to Rs 1,300-1,305 per 90 kg.
