Wheat dara up on flour mills' buying support

In restricted activity, wheat dara prices improved by Rs 5 per quintal on the wholesale grains market today on increased offtake by flour mills to meet the marriage season demand.

Elsewhere, prices moved in a narrow range in the absence of any worthwhile activity and settled around previous levels.

Traders said increased offtake by flour mills to meet the marriage season demand led to rise in wholesale wheat dara prices.

In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) gained Rs 5 to Rs 1,320-1,325 per quintal, while atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded higher by the same margin to Rs 1,325-1,330 per quintal.
