In restricted activity, wheat prices fell up to Rs 25 per quintal in the wholesale grains market today on adequate stocks position against weak demand.

Elsewhere, other grains traded in a tight range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.

Traders said adequate supplies in the market against sluggish demand mainly led to a fall in wholesale wheat prices.

Wheat deshi fell by Rs 25 to Rs 1,700-1,800, while wheat dara (for mills) shed Rs 5 to Rs 1,225-1,230 per quintal.
