Wheat Exports To Iraq Via Foreign Countries

Indian wheat is likely to be exported to Iraq again. But this time, the foodgrain to Iraq will be routed through foreign countries.

Iraq has awarded seven lakh tonne wheat import contracts to companies based in Russia, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.

According to sources, a Russian company has been awarded the contract for supplying 5.5 lakh tonne of Indian wheat to Iraq. Similarly, two Jordan and UAE based companies are going to ship 1,00,000 tonne of wheat each to Iraq.
