In a range-bound trading, wheat prices fell by Rs 13 or 1.12 per cent to Rs 1,152 per quintal in futures trade today on increased arrivals in physical market amid reduced offtake.

At the Multi Commodity and Exchange platform, wheat for current-month May contract fell Rs 13, or 1.12 per cent to Rs 1,152 per quintal, with an open interest of 39 lots.

However, the wheat for delivery in June contract held steady at Rs 1,175 per quintal in 13 lots.

Marketmen said adequate stocks position following increased arrivals in physical market against reduced offtake mainly pulled down wheat prices at futures trade.
