Wheat remains under pressure on increased supplies

Wheat prices drifted by Rs 25 per quintal on the wholesale grains market today on increased supplies following rising arrivals of new crop in the market, amid reduced offtake.  

Traders said adequate stocks position following  rising arrivals of new crop mainly pulled down wheat prices.

In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) and wheat deshi fell by Rs 25 each to Rs 1,200-1,205 and Rs 1,675-1,825 per quintal respectively.

Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower by the same margin to Rs 1,190-1,195 per 90 kg.

Wheat MP (deshi) 1,675-1,825, wheat dara (for mills) 1,200-1,205 chakki atta (delivery) 1,190-1,195, atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 175, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 175, Roller flour mill 640-660 (50 kg), Maida 740-770 (50 kg) and Sooji 800-820 (50 kg)

 

Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 9,500, Shri Lal Mahal 9,300, super basmati rice 9,000, Basmati common 5,400-5,500, rice Pusa-(1121) 4,200-5,200, Permal raw 1,850-1,900, Permal wand 2,050-2,150, Sela 2,100-2,175 and Rice IR-8 1,750-1,775

Bajra 910-920, Jowar yellow 1,000-1,075, white 1,825-1,875, Maize 1,310-1,320, Barley (UP) 1,350-1,370 and Rajasthan 1,080-1,090
