In restricted activity, wheat dara prices rose by Rs 20 per quintal in the wholesale grains market today on fresh buying by flour mills. Other grains, continued to trade in a tight range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.
Traders said fresh buying by flour mills and speculations that the government may allow exports, mainly led to a rise in wheat dara prices.
Wheat dara, mostly consumed by flour mills, rose by Rs 20 to Rs 1,250-1,255 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded higher by the same margin at Rs 1,255-1,260 per 90 kg.
