Wipro has tumbled 3.4% to Rs 510. ITC has plunged 3.3% to Rs 215.
Hindalco has slipped over 3% at Rs 176. Ranbaxy has declined 2.7% at Rs 511, while Tata Steel has dropped 2.6% to Rs 819.
Bharti Airtel and DLF have shed around 2% each to Rs 804 and Rs 528, respectively.
Reliance Infrastructure, HDFC and ONGC have dipped 1.8% each to Rs 1,111, Rs 2,350 and Rs 936, respectively.
Mahindra and Mahindra have gained 4.2% to Rs 586. BHEL has moved up around 1% to Rs 1,458.
Tata Motors has inched 0.8% to Rs 537. Grasim is up 0.6% to Rs 2,260.
The market breadth is neutral - out of 2,645 stocks traded so far, 1,253 have advanced, 1,296 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
