Zinc futures for March traded lower by 30 paise, or 0.29%, to Rs 104.05 per kg in 1,732 lots.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the April contract fell by 15 paise, or 0.14%, to trade at Rs 105.50 per kg in 415 lots.
Prices fell as participants reduced their positions amid subdued domestic spot markets demand.
Weak trends overseas where copper and other base metals declined on speculation that metals demand will slow as China will take steps to tame inflation.
