Zinc down 0.4% on overseas trend

Zinc for delivery in May declined by 40 paise.

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Zinc prices down by 0.40% to 110.90 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions, tracking a weak global trend on demand concerns.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in May declined by 40 paise, or 0.40%, to Rs 110.90 per kg in business turnover of 28 lots.

Likewise, metal prices for delivery in June shed 35 paise, or 0.35%, to Rs 109.85 per kg in 837 lots.

Analysts said the weakness in zinc at futures trade was mostly attributed to a subdued global trend in the entire base metals on concern that signs of slowing growth from the US to China will curb demand.
