Press Trust of India New Delhi
Zinc prices down by 0.50% to 110.10 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions, tracking a weak global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in July declined by 55 paise, or 0.50%, to Rs 110.10 per kg in business turnover of 19 lots.

Likewise, zinc for delivery in the June shed 50 paise, or 0.46%, to Rs 109.10 per kg in 813 lots.

Analysts said the weakness in zinc at futures trade was mostly attributed to a subdued global trend in base metals on signs growth is slowing in China, the world's biggest consumer.
