Zinc down mariganlly on weak overseas cues

Prices fell as participants reduced their positions

Zinc futures for May traded lower by 15 paise, or 0.15%, to Rs 102.30 per kg in 116 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the April contract fell by 10 paise, or 0.10%, to trade at Rs 100.90 per kg in a turnover of 174 lots.

Prices fell as participants reduced their positions amid subdued spot demand.

Weak trend in copper and other base metals overseas on weak industrial output data from Japan and South Korea that raised global demand concerns affected the trade.
