Zinc falls by 0.3% on weak global cues

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Zinc prices moved down 0.27% to Rs 112.10 per kg in futures market today largely in tandem with a weak global trend.

In futures trading at the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in October contracts shed 30 paise, or 0.27%, to Rs 112.10 per kg, in a business turnover of 769 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in November traded lower by 25 paise, or 0.22%, to Rs 113.30 per kg in a business turnover of 32 lots.

Marketmen said weakness in copper and other base metals at the London Metal Exchange (LME) and muted demand from consuming industries mainly weighed on metal prices at futures trade.
