In range-bound movements, zinc futures prices fell marginally by 0.23 per cent to Rs 106.80 per kg in today, largely on profit booking by speculators.

However, firming trend at the London Metal Exchange (LME), restricted losses.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, zinc deliveries for October and November were down by 25 paise, or 0.23 per cent, each at Rs 106.80 and Rs 107.85 per kg, respectively, with a turnover of 13 and 10 lots, respectively.

The fall in zinc futures was mostly attributed to profit booking by speculators at prevailing levels, but gains in base metals at the LME, limited losses.

Meanwhile, zinc rose 0.3 per cent to $2,448 a metric tonne on the LME.
