Zinc futures prices fell by 0.33% to Rs 104.75 per kg today, as speculators reduced their positions, taking weak cues from London Metal Exchange (LME).
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in December edged lower by 35 paise, or 0.33%, to Rs 104.75 per kg in 729 lots.
The metal prices for January contract also shed 30 paise, or 0.28%, to Rs 105.65 per kg, with a business turnover of 41 lots.
Market analysts said subdued demand in the domestic spot market and a weak trend at the LME, mainly contributed to the fall in zinc futures prices.
Meanwhile, zinc was being quoted 1.3% lower at $2,025 per tonne in early trade on the LME.
