Among profit-booking by speculators and weakness in other base metals, zinc futures traded 0.61 per cent down at Rs 98.10 per kg today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, zinc for September lost 60 paise, or 0.61 per cent, to Rs 98.10 per kg, with a business turnover of 570 lots.

The metal for delivery in October also slipped by 55 paise, or 0.55 per cent, to Rs 99.30 per kg, with a turnover of 37 lots.

Analysts said profit booking by speculators and weak trend in others base metals, led to a fall in zinc futures prices.
