Tracking a firm trend overseas along with firm spot demand, zinc futures prices today traded 1.34 per cent higher at Rs 113.25 per kg.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, zinc delivery for November gained Rs 1.50, or 1.34 per cent to Rs 113.25 per kg, with a turnover of 13 lots.

The metal for delivery in December also traded up by Rs 1.50 or 1.13 per cent to Rs 114.35 per kg, with a business turnover of four lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in zinc futures prices to a firm trend in the entire base metals pack overseas and rising demand at spot markets.
