Zinc, nickel down on reduced offtake

Prices of zinc and nickel declined by up to Rs 3 per kg in the local non-ferrous metal market today on reduced offtake by stockists on fall in industrial demand.

Traders said reduced offtake by stockists due to fall in industrial demand mainly led to the decline in zinc and nickel prices.

In the national capital, zinc ingot shed rupee one to Rs 129.50, while nickel (4x4) declined by Rs 3 to Rs 1,065-1,0670 per kg.

Tin ingot 840, zinc ingot 129.50, nickel plate (4x4) 1,065-1,067, gun metal scrap 226 bell metal scrap 228, copper wire scrap 516, copper wire bar 539, copper mixed scrap 499, Utensil scrap 224, Chadripital 175

 

Lead ingot 141, lead imported 144, aluminium ingots 112, sheet cutting 113, aluminium wire scrap 112 and aluminium utensils scrap 109
