Zinc prices declined by 0.33% to Rs 105.30 per kg in futures market today largely in line with a weakening trend overseas and subdued demand at spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in March fell by 35 paise, or 0.33%, to Rs 105.30 per kg, with a business turnover of 125 lots.
The February contract shed 30 paise, or 0.32%, to Rs 104.40 per kg, with a business turnover of 5,193 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in zinc futures prices to a weakening trend at the London Metal Exchange (LME) and fall in domestic demand.
Zinc was down 0.5% to $2,120 a tonne on the LME.
