Zinc futures prices today edged up by 0.50 per cent to Rs 108.30 per kg amid a firm global trend and better domestic demand, as speculators enlarged positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in April edged up by 35 paise, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 108.30 per kg, with a business turnover of 37 lots.
March zinc traded higher by 30 paise, or 0.28 per cent, to Rs 107.35 per kg, with a business turnover of 619 lots.
Marketmen attributed rise in zinc prices at futures trade to improved demand in the spot market and a firming trend in metal at the London Metal Exchange.
