Press Trust of India New Delhi
Tracking a firm global trend, zinc prices moved up by 0.44% to Rs 102.35 per kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the May contract inched up by 45 paise, or 0.44% to Rs 102.35 per kg in 3,266 lots.

The June contract traded higher by 35 paise, or 0.34% to Rs 103.45 per kg in 127 lots.

Market analysts said fresh positions built by speculators in tandem with a firm global trend mainly led to rise in zinc prices at futures trade.

Meanwhile, zinc climbed 0.2% to $1,860 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange (LME).
