Zinc prices fell by 0.40% to Rs 112.70 per kg in futures market today on subdued domestic demand amid a weak global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the December contract traded lower by 45 paise, or 0.40%, to Rs 112.70 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,976 lots.

The January contract shed 30 paise, or 0.26%, to Rs 113.70 per kg in 114 lots.

Marketmen attributed the decline in zinc futures to subdued domestic demand and weak trend in entire base metals pack in the overseas markets.
