2017 Hyundai Elantra gets Apple Car Play and Android Auto

The 2017 Hyundai Elantra will be getting equipped with Apple Car Play and Android Auto, which are interfaces that will sync with the car's infotainment system to allow a higher degree of personalization and safety to customers.


The systems will be tuned to the seven-inch touchscreen and will also include a reverse camera and a navigation system. Customers will have an option to chooses between the two systems to suit their needs.

Mike O'Brien, Vice President, product and corporate planning, Hyundai Motor America said, By launching our best-selling model, Elantra, with CarPlay and Android Auto support, we are building on our promise to offer more convenience features for todays modern driver at an affordable price point," said Mike OBrien, vice president of product and corporate planning, Hyundai Motor America. Also, the new smartphone integrations will help to keep drivers eyes on the road and hands on the wheel, helping to reduce driver distraction."
  We are not sure if Hyundai will offer options in India, but we expect the company to launch at least one of the systems here. Maruti Suzuki already offers Apple Car Play in the Baleno hatchback. The all-new Elantra will be making its global debut at the Auto Expo in Delhi next month. It will be powered by GDi engines (Gasoline direct injection) and the diesel with the 1.6-litre that will be more powerful and even fuel-efficient. The Elantra will pack in more features and Hyundai will aim at becoming the segment leader. In terms of additional features, it will have ventilated seats, electric-adjustment for the front row seats and multiple airbags.
