We are aware that Ford will introduce the Mustang in India, however it will be the Mustang GT Premium Fastback version that be made available in the Indian car market. Ford has plans to introduce their flagship muscle car in India in the next 12 months. This is long time-line but we will have some clarity after the launch of the Figo Aspire.
The Mustang GT Premium Fastback will launched with a 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine that will produce 435bhp of power and will come mated to a six-speed manual transmission. This is the first time that Ford has started to make the Mustang in right-hand-drives as well. The American auto giant will introduce its muscle car in UK and other right-hand drive markets.
The Ford Mustang GT Premium Fastback is available with voice-activated Navigation System includes a free five-year subscription to SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link which combines Global Positioning System (GPS) technology with 3-D mapping and provides voice-guided turn-by-turn directions.
With SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link34, you'll get detailed traffic information, plus current and forecast weather, gas station locations and prices, sports scores and schedules, and theater locations with movie listings and times. Premium RECARO leather-trimmed sport seats are race-inspired and deliver excellent support and comfort, even in strong lateral gs.
The Mustang also comes with Ecoboost Premium, which has a 2.3-litre petrol engine. This might not make it to India as at the moment, the plans are to get the GT Premium Fastback.
