Maruti launches Suzuki S-Cross at Rs.9.20 Lacs (on-road)

Maruti-Suzuki have just launched their first crossover in India, the Suzuki S-Cross, starting at Rs.9.20 lacs, on-road, Delhi.


S-Cross, the latest vehicle from Maruti, will compete against the likes of Ford Ecosport, Renault Duster and the newly launched Hyundai Creta. It has already reachedcompany's new showrooms, named Nexa and will be the first model to be sold through these premium showrooms, followed by the YRA hatchback, to be launched later.

The S-Cross will be available with two diesel engine options 200 DDiS 1.3-litre diesel motor that churns out 89bhp of power and 200Nm of torque, and 320 DDiS 1.6-litre diesel that is tuned to pump out 118bhp and 320Nm of torque. The DDiS 200 engine will come paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox with an ARAI certified mileage figure of 23.65kmpl and the 320 DDiS will get six-speed manual transmission with afuel efficiency of 22.7kmpl.

The S-Cross measures 4,300mm in length, 1,765mm in width, and 1,590mm in height and has a ground clearance of 180mm and itwill be offered in five colours - Urban Blue, Caffeine Brown, Granite Grey, Premium Silver and Pearl Arctic White. The approximate on-road Delhi prices for the eight variants of the S-Cross are as below.

S-Cross Sigma 1.3 Rs.9.3 lacs

S-Cross Delta 1.3 Rs.10.2 lacs

S-Cross Zeta 1.3 Rs.11.1 lacs

S-Cross Alpha 1.3 Rs.11.9 lacs

S-Cross Delta 1.6 Rs.13.3 lacs

S-Cross Zeta 1.6 Rs.14.4 lacs

S-Cross Alpha 1.6 Rs.15.3 lacs

  The S-Cross includes features such as Dual Airbags, ABS, disc brakes on all 4 wheels, automatic projector headlamps, in-built navigation system, rear camera displays, tilt adjustable power steering, electrically adjustable ORVMs, TFTmulti-information display, SmartPlay infotainment system.
