The new-generation Opel Meriva has been spotted for the first time and this new MPV will be making its way into production in a couple of years. The Meriva will no longer have sliding doors and this will be replaced by conventional doors.
The new Meriva will share the platform and a lot of other parts with the upcoming Peugeot 2008/Citroen C3 Picasso. The first mules of the Meriva are actually chopped up Peugeot 2008 bodies. This will be manufactured in General Motor's Spain plant.
The Peugeot 3008 was spotted a few days ago and now the Opel Meriva. The MPVs are becoming more of crossovers as there has been an increase in demand in this segment. GM has no plans to introduce Opel products in India at the moment.
