Volkswagen has launched the New Cross Polo 1.2 MPI today. This will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 74bhp and 110Nm of torque, the New Cross Polo 1.2 MPI is the same engine as the Polo petrol and it returns a fuel economy of 16.47km/l as per the ARAI cycle of testing. The safety levels on the New Cross Polo are unmatched, with anti-lock brakes (ABS) and dual front airbags. As with the rest of the Volkswagen Polo range, the New Cross Polo comes with a 4-star NCAP safety rating.
The extras that make the New Cross Polo even more attractive are dual-beam halogen headlamps with black finish, 15-inch alloy wheels, Cross bumpers with silver accents, silver-painted roof rails and rear-view mirror housing and Cross front grille with chrome accent. The bookings of the New Cross Polo will commence from 15 January 2015. Ex-showroom Mumbai prices start at Rs 6.94 lakh. This is the only engine available on the Cross Polo.
The New Cross Polo also features upgraded interiors, with leather-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel, superior Cloud Titan Black upholstery and Climatronic automatic air-conditioning.
