Foiling a major infiltration bid, security forces on Tuesday gunned down 10 terrorists near the Line of Control (LoC) at Lachipora in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
As per reports, troops noticed a group of terrorists sneaking into Indian side from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
When challenged and asked to surrender, the ultras opened fire with automatic weapons, to which the troops also retaliated.
The operation was still going on when the reports last came in.
