The Darjeeling Police on Tuesday recovered 102 pieces of gelatin sticks from a tea estate in Tindharia, Darjeeling.
These gelatin sticks were stolen from Neji power plant on July 20.
Speaking to media, Darjeeling Superintendent of Police Akhilesh Chaturvedi, said, "The stolen gelatin sticks from Neji power plant were delivered to GJM president Bimal Gurung, who divided them in parts. The gelatins were recovered from from Tindharia village and were hidden in the tea bushes. But we have not made any arrests yet."
"We have managed to recover 50 kgs of gelatin sticks, so far. However, no arrests has been made so far", said SP
"We will contact the NTPC to verify if the recovered gelatin sticks match with the stolen ones," added SP Chaturvedi
Earlier on October 13, 20 sticks were recovered from the shoot-out spot near Singla near the Bengal-Sikkim border which resulted in the death of a police officer.
