At least 11 foreign nationals, including women and children, have been arrested in Afghanistan's central province Logar.
The detained individuals are all foreigners, hailing from Chechnya, reported local news agency Khaama Press, citing the provincial government as saying in a statement.
Weapons, ammunition, and a vehicle have also been confiscated.
An investigation is still underway.
This comes in the wake of reports that suggested that the militants affiliated with the Islamic State (IS) are trying to migrate from the eastern Afghanistan's Nangarhar to Logar province.
