Eleven micro-irrigation companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Andhra Pradesh government at Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Partnership Summit on Sunday.
On the first day of the summit, the State government signed the MoU's to assist the micro- irrigation companies in establishing their respective manufacturing units in the state.
The proposed manufacturing units are expected to be built in the plastic park hub of Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh.
The summit organised by the CII in association with the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, and the State Government of Andhra Pradesh is aimed to increase the public-private investment in the state.
While addressing the summit on Saturday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu stressed on increasing the ease of doing business in the state.
He said, "We are (Andhra Pradesh) number 1 in Ease of Doing Business. I am sure that India will do really well. Our aim is to appear in World's Top 5 when it comes to Ease of Doing Business".
The Three-day CII Partnership Summit will end on Feb. 27.
