14 Afghan policemen killed in Taliban attack

At least 14 policemen have reportedly been killed in a Taliban attack on two security check posts in Lashkargah, capital of Afghanistan's Helmand province.

Tolo News quoted sources as saying that clashes continued for more than an hour after Taliban insurgents attacked security check posts at two places in Lashkargah city on Saturday night.

However, Provincial Governor Hayatullah Hayat said 11 policemen had been killed.

No terror group including Taliban has commented on the attack so far.
