A special TADA court has issued non-bailable arrest warrants against two convicts in connection with the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.
The order was issued against 70-year-old Zaibunissa Kazi and Sharif Parker alias Dada Parker after both failed to surrender within the deadline set by the Supreme Court.
Kazi was sentenced to five years imprisonment by the Supreme Court on March 19, and was granted a month's extension to surrender. The directive came a day after Sanjay Dutt was granted the same extension by the apex court.
In her application, Kazi had requested the TADA court to giver her time till Monday to surrender, citing important medical tests that she had to take. She had recently undergone an operation to remove a malignant kidney tumour.
However, TADA Judge G A Sanap rejected her petition.
According to Kazi's lawyer, Judge Sanap said he was complying with Supreme Court orders and it was not in his hands to provide an extension. He has also ordered a non-bailable warrant against her.

However on Wednesday, Parker suffered a cardiac arrest and was admitted to Prince Ali Khan Hospital. As a result, he was unable to surrender before the TADA court, which ordered a non-bailable warrant against him.
