One Direction band member Zayn Malik has become the official ambassador of British Asian Trust.
The singer has joined to help support the cause and help the disadvantaged in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, the Mirror reported.
Hitan Mehta, Executive Director of the British Asian Trust, said that they are delighted to welcome Malik to the trust's family and that he is a young man with immense talent and a dedicated following.
Mehta added that Zayn has joined a dedicated group of celebrity supporters who have worked to improve the lives of disadvantaged people living in South Asia.
