Bookies, pubs and stores are all cashing in on the Premier League, as Britain gets ready for a 200 million pound betting bonanza with the start of the new season.
According to The Daily Star, a spokesman for bookmakers Coral revealed that after a summer with no major football tournament, this is the most eagerly anticipated new season ever.
A British Beer and Pub Association spokesman said that as the weather starts to fade, pubs would be glad to see football return.
Supermarkets are also expecting a run on beer and snacks as supporters take advantage of BT and Sky's broadcasting war for the Premiership, the report said.
Premier League fans will spend 1,800 pounds to support their side during the season, the report added.
