At least 225 Daesh fighters were killed in Afghanistan's Nangarhar offensives over the past week.
Local officials said most of the casualties incurred to the insurgents by air raids by foreign troops that targeted the militants' hideouts in Kot district, reports Tolo News.
The clash between the Daesh rebels and the security forces started when the rebel group attacked security forces' outposts in the district.
Nearly 500 families have been reportedly displaced in Kot battle following the attack by the militant group.
Nangarhar governor Salim Kunduzi said that Daesh militants had torched nearly 90 houses in the district and the government will provide all facilities and assistance to the displaced families.
