23kg silver, gold stolen from Delhi shop

About 23 kg of silver and 350 gm of gold was stolen from a jewellery shop here on Saturday.

The robbery was allegedly carried out by a group of 10 to 15 people in Budh Vihar on early Saturday morning.

Police said the store owner Praveen Aggrawal, in his FIR, stated his neighbour informed him that a group had broken the shutter of his shop after cornering the guard and looted 23kg of silver and 350gm of gold.

They added that the guard had not shown any resistance fearing assault by these men.

Police said the beat constable Subhash chased the men on his motorcycle; however, they managed to escape.

 

An FIR has been lodged and police have begun their investigation into the case.

No arrests have been made so far.
