Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Monday suspended 25 MPs for disturbing proceedings.
According to reports, Mahajan had named around 25 to 27 Congress MPs as 'disruptors'. She has suspended them under ruling 374 (A).
The lawmakers, who have been suspended, include Gaurav Gogoi, Sushmita Dev,Deepender Hooda, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury,BN Chandrappa, Abhijit Mukherjee, Santokh Chaudhary,Abu Hasem Khan Choudhury, R Dhruvanarayana, Ninong Ering, BV Nayak and Suresh Kodikunnil.
Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha has been adjourned till 11 am Tuesday following frequent disruption by the opposition parties.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier today met his senior Cabinet colleagues to look for ways to end the ongoing logjam in the Monsoon Session of the Parliament.
