ANI New Delhi [India]

A Delhi High Court on Wednesday announced that it will pronounce the verdict in 2G spectrum case on October 25.

The court had asked all the accused former telecom minister A Raja, Rajya Sabha member and Dravida Munnettra Kazhagam leader Kanimozhi, former telecom secretary Sidharth Behura, Raja's private secretary RK Chandolia to file their clarifications.

Meanwhile, all the accused are out on bail.

A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Special Judge OP Saini observed that documents, filed in the case, were voluminous and technical in nature, and will take substantial time to go through them.

The court will announce the date of the verdict on next hearing. The court had also concluded final arguments in the case on April 26.

The court was hearing two separate cases related to 2G spectrum cases; one is being probed by the CBI and the other by the Enforcement Directorate.

The CBI has alleged that former Telecom Minister A Raja, during the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance's rule, had caused a huge loss to the exchequer as he had undercharged telecom firms for frequency allocation licences. The Comptroller and Auditor General of India had estimated the total loss to the exchequer from the scam to be around Rs 1.76 trillion.
