'Queen of Soul' Aretha Franklin's '30 Greatest Hits' became her highest-charting album in 50 years, as it climbed to the seventh position on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

'30 Greatest Hits' is Franklin's highest charting album since August 31, 1968.

Following her death on August 16, the compilation album re-entered the Billboard list at No. 7.

Earlier, her album 'Amazing Grace' reached No. 7 back in 1972. Franklin's albums 'I Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You' (1967) and 'Aretha: Lady Soul' (1968) are the only albums to reach the No. 2 spot twice.

'30 Greatest Hits', which was released way back in 1985, did not appear in the chart until 2012 when it peaked at No. 117.

Franklin passed away at the age of 76 following a prolonged illness on August 16 at her residence in Detroit.

She was suffering from pancreatic cancer and was in a grave condition from last few years. The singer is well known for hits like 'Respect', 'Natural Women', and 'I say a little prayer'.
