The Indian Army on Saturday retrieved the body of another jawan on the 18th day of rescue operations at the avalanche site in Namgya, Kinnaur.
Six army men were trapped after an avalanche hit Pooh sub-division of Kinnaur district on February 20. Four bodies have already been recovered by the forces from the site of the avalanche.
Over 500 personnel of Army, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Border Roads Organisation (BRO), Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment (SASE) and DRDO have been pressed into service to locate the missing army men.
The six army men were among the 16 who had started their journey from Namgya to Shipkila to repair a water supply line.
Rescue operations are underway.
