A 40-year-old man committed suicide late last night reportedly over the demand for according special category status to Andhra Pradesh.
Siripurapu Udaya Bhanu ended his life by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his house in Srirampuram colony.
A suicide note was recovered in which he wrote 'Save AP' and also alleged that some political parties are creating obstacles for special status, the official said.
Udayabhanu, whose mother Sandhyarani is TDP's Telugu Mahila town president, was running a fair price stores in the town.
