Saudi Arabia has reportedly arrested 431 suspected members of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), thwarting attacks on security forces, mosques and a diplomatic mission, the kingdom's interior ministry said.

A statement posted on the official news agency, SPA, said that those arrested included Saudi citizens and people of other nationalities, including Yemen and Syria, adding that the move foiled six successive suicide operations, which were meant to target mosques in the eastern province on every Friday and were timed with assassinations of security men, reported News24.

It said that attacks on a diplomatic mission, security and government facilities in Sharurah province were also thwarted.

Saudi Arabia is part of a U.S.-led coalition that is carrying out air raids targeting ISIS militants in Iraq and Syria.
