'Fifty Shades of Grey' has cashed-in 158 million dollars at the international box-office and has jumped 96 percent in grossing.

Sam Taylor-Johnson had a huge opening in Europe over the five-day, and took place of the best debut since 'Transformers 4' that released last year, the Deadline reported.

In Latin America it was expected that this erotic drama will going to be soft, but it has performed strongly as Valentine's Day dovetailed smartly and social media activity was pretty high.

On the other hand the E.L James adaptation found a tough start in Asia and especially in Indonesia and Malaysia, as they banned the movie due to it's high sexual content and even Japan gave lower book sales.

Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan starrer movie still has five more territories to be released in, including Korea on February 26, UAE on March 5.

Notably, 'Robocop' was the No. 1 movie abroad last year at this time scoring 35 million dollars.
