A new report by a think tank has revealed that there has been 64 terror plots against American homeland since 9/11.
The report was revealed after two Chicago-area cousins were nabbed by FBI agents after a frightening plot to kill 150 National Guard members was unraveled last week, reported Fox News.
Analysts and experts at the Heritage Foundation, who track such plots, said that the number of attempts will continue to increase.
David Inserra, research associate in The Heritage Foundation's Allison Center for Foreign and National Security Policy said that terror groups will continue to inspire radicals around the globe as long as they are able to conduct attacks and control territories.
He said that the U.S. and other western countries should try to defeat Islamic State (IS), Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups to prevent the spread of their violent ideologies.
