72 per cent of Millennials - people aged between 19- 30- are more interested in starting their own businesses compared to working for someone else, a new research has suggested.

The research by job website O Desk found that desirability for more workplace flexibility, access to fast technology and influence of people such as Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg has made work look like a vastly different arrangement, News.com.au reported.

O Desk CEO Gary Swart said that the Millennials are pushing against work barriers at hierarchical organisations, which require slow, staggered career progression.

He said that due to these success stories, the Millenialls know that it's possible to spot enormous opportunities and create their own very unique paths.
