7th Junior National Women C'ship: Uttar Pradesh beat Chandigarh 4-0

Uttar Pradesh Hockey beat Hockey Chandigarh 4-0 in their Pool A encounter on Day 5 of the 7th Junior National Hockey Championship 2017 (Women) 'A' Division at Aishbagh Stadium on Monday

Mumtaz Khan's brace (33', 41') and goals from Sonal Tiwari (22') and Kirti Prajapati (51') gave Uttar Pradesh Hockey a comfortable victory over Hockey Chandigarh.

In Pool C, Sports Authority of India recorded an emphatic 11-1 victory over Hockey Coorg.

Lalremsiami Zote (9', 43', 61') scored an impressive hat trick in Sports Authority of India's victory as Anu Roj (12'), Diksha Patel (21'), Pramila Soreng (23'), Marina Lalramnghaki Hmar (26'), Sumanpriti Kaur (32'), captain Alka Dung Dung (59'), Pinku Ekka (67') and Monika Sihag (69') also grabbed a goal each. The sole goal for Hockey Coorg was scored by captain Pavithra PA (38').

 

In Pool B, Hockey Bhopal beat Hockey Uttarakhand 4-2 to take the three points. Goals for Hockey Bhopal were scored by Saraswati Khanal (3'), Lanchenbt Khundrakpam (19'), and a brace from captain Anuradha Singh (57', 65'). Goalscorers for Hockey Uttarakhand were Manisha Chauhan (49') and Pooja Bhatt (61').
