7th Junior Women's Hockey C'ship: Kerala thrash Vidarbha 11-1

Kerala Hockey thrashed Vidarbha Hockey Association 11-1 here in their Pool A encounter of the 7th Junior National Hockey Championship 2017 (Women) 'B' Division on Monday.

KV Aiswariya (15', 20', 38') and Reshma (12', 43', 49') both scored hat tricks in the victory. Vidarbha Hockey Association's goal was scored by Prachi Wanjari (63').

In Pool B, Hockey Mizoram routed Hockey Gujarat 25-0. Vanlalhriatpuii was the undoubted star of the show, racking up eight goals (2', 8', 20', 23', 24', 27', 57', 64') in Hockey Mizoram's stellar victory.

Hockey Him beat Hockey Madhya Bharat 11-0 in Pool D. Hat tricks by Manju Chorsiya (3', 24', 35', 54'), Preeti Sharma (7', 22', 70') and Ekta Kaushik (8', 9', 61') wrapped up the victory for Hockey Him.

 

In Bengaluru, Pool games at the 7th Sub Junior National Hockey Championship 2017 (Men) 'B' Division continued at pace.

Mumbai School Sports Association beat Hockey Uttarakhand 3-1 in Pool A. Goals for Mumbai School Sports Association were scored by Rajveer Singh Dhariwala (6') and Arvind Yadav(31', 56'). Hockey Uttarakhand's goal was scored by Mitesh Singh in the 50th minute.

In Pool D, Hockey Madhya Pradesh beat Kerala Hockey 5-1. Gaurav Tripathi notched up a sublime hat trick (34', 64', 70') in Hockey Madhya Pradesh's comfortable victory.

Hockey Bengaluru and Hockey Jammu & Kashmir played out a superb match in Pool D, Hockey Bengaluru the winners 5-4. Hockey Bengaluru's Umashankar (22', 26') and Hockey Jammu & Kashmir's Gagandeep Singh Sr. (60', 68') scored a brace each in the match.
